Blue Trees Old Town

Before Old Town Paphos was smartened up as part of the City of Culture 2017 programme, life in the rambling streets seemed not to have changed for the last 100 years. The 1974 Turkish invasion resulted in a number of abandoned workshops and on these sites, nature was triumphing. These three trees soared above the old stone buildings and the concrete and dust from the environmental improvements in progress.  Sadly they are no more, replaced by smart cafes.
